Q3. How do I test Rockforce boards with Linux?

Using Minicom a terminal emulation program which is included with most Linux packages.  To test the RockForce boards, open a command prompt and run 'Minicom -s', selecting the option 'Serial Port Setup', and changing the serial device to one of the ttyS values assigned to the ports by the installation.  Example: "/dev/ttyS14".  Now, exit the setup screen, and the modem should initialize.

You can now communicate with the modem using 'AT' commands.  ATi5 <Enter> should return the firmware version of the modem and will confirm that you are communicating with the board.
