There are two types of logs created by VentaFax:

General Logs

These logs give general information about the fax operations, such as the date/time, phone number, TIFF image file used, the duration of the operation, etc.  They are enabled by default and are available in the Log Book.

Individual Modem Activity Logs

These are low level debugging traces of the individual modems.  To enable these logs:

1.  Click the Settings tab  (on the taskbar) from the main view, and go to Modem > Interacting with Modem > Modem Activity Logging.

2.  Select the line number you wish to enable logs for from the Line selector (bottom left).

3.  Click the checkbox labelled Log Modem Activity to LOG_01.TXT (or similar).

4.  You can also select the info that is logged, from this screen.  In this version the options are:

·    port interaction parameters
·    TAPI data
·    ECM data
·    DLE codes from modem
·    other information
